Description

Just 3 ingredients – smoky little sausages wrapped in crispy bacon and sprinkled with sweet brown sugar. Simple to make, and always a crowd favorite.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound of thin sliced bacon
  • 1 16 oz. package of little smokies sausages
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cover a sheet pan with aluminum foil.
  3. Spray the foil with nonstick cooking spray.
  4. Cut bacon slices into thirds.
  5. Pat the little sausages dry.
  6. Wrap each sausage with a piece of the cut bacon and secure with a toothpick.
  7. Add brown sugar to a large ziplock bag.
  8. Add several of the bacon wrapped sausages to the bag, and shake to coat.
  9. Line sugar coated sausages on prepared pan and repeat with all remaining sausages.
  10. Bake until the bacon has browned, about 30-35 minutes.

Notes

  • You can add 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper and a pinch of black pepper, if you like it spicy.
  • Any leftover bacon can be frozen for use in recipes later.
  • Bake with the toothpick inserted.
