Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and downright addictive! Perfect for dipping, sharing, and going back for “just one more.” 😋

Featuring Gator Dust seasoning for that delicious Cajun kick! Serve them with my Cajun Dipping Sauce for an extra burst of flavor.

Perfect for weeknight dinners, cookouts, or anytime you want to kick up an ordinary potato!

Potato wedges are incredibly easy to make—and they cook up faster than traditional fries because the potatoes are cut into larger pieces. They are also healthier than fries, because potato logs are baked.  Simply cut the potatoes into wedges, toss them with oil and your favorite seasoning, and bake until golden brown and crunchy!

Cutting potato wedges is much easier than cutting fries! Start by cutting the potato in half lengthwise. Place each half cut-side down on your cutting board.

Cut each half into 3 or 4 wedges, depending on the size of the potato. This gives you perfectly sized wedges with plenty of crispy edges and a tender, fluffy center.

This Gator Dust creole seasoning give the potato logs a little kick, but not too much.  Adding this to the seasoning gives this dish a bolder, more interesting flavor.

Simple ingredients:

  • Potatoes
  • Butter
  • Oil
  • Gator Dust or other Cajun seasoning
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Paprika
  • Black Pepper

Adding a Cajun dipping sauce takes these potato logs to the next level. The creamy, zesty sauce is just what they need to add that extra burst of flavor and make them even more irresistible.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper

  3. Toss with melted butter and avocado oil.
  4. Sprinkle the Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper over the potatoes.
  5. Toss until well coated.
  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  7. Arrange the potatoes in a single layer over the parchment paper.
  8. Bake at 425 degrees for 18 minutes.
  9. Remove the potatoes from the oven and carefully flip the potatoes.
  10. Bake another 20-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy on the outside

Notes

  • I used Gator Dust Cajun Seasoning, but if you have a cajun seasoning preference, you can easily substitute.
  • Use your preference for oil. Olive oil works well also.
  • If desired, you can peel your potatoes.
  • Be sure to dry the potatoes well after washing.
  • I prefer the Yukon Gold potatoes for this recipe, but use your personal preference.
