Description

This recipe for strawberry pie combines a creamy filling with fresh strawberries and finished off with a chocolate drizzle. 


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust, softened
  • 1 8 oz. package cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 cup semiweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare pie crust as directed on the box.
  2. Beat cream cheese on medium speed until fluffy.
  3. Gradually beat in sugar and almond extract until well blended.
  4. Beat whipping cream on high until soft peaks form.
  5. Fold whipped cream into cream cheese mixture and spread into cooled pie shell.
  6. Place strawberries pointed side up over the cream cheese mixture or you can slice the strawberries and arrange them. 
  7. Melt chocolate chips over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth.
  8. Drizzle strawberries with chocolate.
  9. Refrigerate for at least an hour. Keep refrigerated.

Notes

You can skip the almond extract if you don’t care for that flavor or add vanilla extract.
